Qualifications: In order to facilitate the learning experience, the following qualifications are preferred: Should be able to commit to 12 weeks of the internship and be able to work 15-20 hours per week. Candidate should be seeking a career Communications, Marketing and/or Media. Should be self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment and multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects. Student should also have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Internship Description: This internship is based in the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim Promotions Marketing & Business department located in Century City, CA. Students will have the opportunity to learn and observe a number of functions within the department. The internship will provide a fantastic experience allowing the interns valuable insight into the corporate environment. Students will assist and be mentored by department staff by learning through the daily tasks, researching industry news and competitor information, preparing trade updates based on weekly publications, assisting on new business prospecting for the network, and reviewing screen shots and campaign recaps for online business. In addition, the student will have the opportunity to participate in various projects, researching data and rating changes, new releases and promotional opportunities. By exposing the interns to procedures from compiling client information, maintaining and updating client files and preparing premiums for clients, they will gain the invaluable marketing sales experience.
