Accountabilities:

• Create service and material requisitions in SAP, ensuring accuracy of cost coding, and description detail.
• Liaison between Project Engineers and SCM (Supply Chain Management) for procurement and verification of specific goods and services.
• Assist SCM to resolve vendor invoicing and billing issues.
• Keep Project Controls informed of overall costs of purchase order requisitions in SAP for tracking purposes. / Support department project controls for cost management.
• Act as resource to SCM with regard to project closure.
• Train field and office personnel in working knowledge of WellView.
• Work with SCM to ensure all vendors are CanQual, Canada HSE approved or exemption approval has been received.
• Participate in proactive safety and regulatory compliance program.
• Provide safety presentations in departmental team meetings.
• Provide leadership to department in implementing SPIM process
• Apply for well licenses when requested.
• Ensure regulatory reporting compliance and submit reporting as required.
• Focal point for organization of well files. Ensure ongoing maintenance of content of well files.
• Support the department continuous improvement initiatives and participate in meetings.
• Actively pursue new technologies or processes to aid in project execution and cost reduction

Qualification Requirements:

• Experience and Education Requirement
• Relevant Engineering Diploma
• 1-5 years drilling engineering experience
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated creativity and initiative thought process
• Experience in drilling horizontal wells preferred
• Confident and mature approach to team interactions
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Working level knowledge of Microsoft Office, DIMS (Drilling Information Management System), and SAP an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
