Position Description:
The Property Operations Manager is responsible for the short and long term planning; and day-to-day operations of the department. Specific duties include ensuring the hotel facility (physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment) is in accordance with the energy conservation and prevention maintenance programs. In addition to coordinating activities with other departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction (Guest Satisfaction Index). The ideal candidate would enjoy leading and developing associates, resolving problems under time pressure, and working in a fast paced environment. This position is also part of the Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school or equivalent education required.
HND/HNC Engineering or Electrical.
Professional qualification in Engineering or Electrical vocation.
Experience:
Five to seven years in a major hotel, hospital, or building, in a managerial / supervisory capacity.
Licenses or Certificates:
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits beneficial to hotel,
Including Certification in Health & Safety.
Languages:
Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
