Position Description:
We are presently looking for Process/Chemical Engineers with 5 to 15 years of experience to join our Operation Support department. Syncrude's Operation division includes three of the world's largest fluid cokers, the largest hydrogen plant and the largest vacuum distillation unit. Facilities also include; extraction processing units, centrifuging units, distillation units, hydrogen production, hydrofining, hydrotreating, hydrocracking and gas processing units.

Responsibilities:

    * Analyzing plant data and trends to understand processing limits and develop improvements to optimize unit operation and troubleshooting process issues

    * Involved in commissioning systems and using your knowledge to develop strategies for increased production, yield improvements, energy conservation and support engineering solutions to operating problems

    * Process engineer team member and also responsible for mentoring Engineers in Training

Qualifications:

    * Degree in Chemical Engineering

    * APEGGA member or qualify to be one

    * Five years experience in a plant operating environment

Assets

    * Experience in the oilsands industry
