Position Description:
The EPSC Director of Coaching and Player Development will direct the activities and development of EPSC coaches and players. The DOC will develop, maintain, and operate high quality coaching development and player development programs for all levels of play to achieve EPSC short-term goals and long-term vision. The DOC will act as an ambassador for the club and the game of soccer within the Eden Prairie and Minnesota soccer communities. The DOC will work closely with the club's Operations Manager and Director of Development.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will hold at minimum the USSF B License or foreign equivalent. For candidates who hold the B License (or equivalent), those who plan to work toward the USSF A License, and who hold the US Youth Soccer National Youth License or NSCAA Premier Diploma are preferred. The DOC should be familiar with USSF and US Youth Soccer best practices. Candidates with at least ten years of youth coaching or college coaching experience, including experience as a club director of coaching, working familiarity with Microsoft Office products, and experience in preparing and conducting coaching clinics are strongly preferred. The DOC must have strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
BACKGROUND:
EPSC is among the largest and most respected non-profit youth soccer clubs in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. Currently EPSC has over 800 boys and girls on approximately 60 competitive travel teams. EPSC is affiliated with US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). Eden Prairie is a community of approximately 60,000, and is located in the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis and across the Mississippi River from St. Paul. MONEY magazine presently lists Eden Prairie as one of the ""Best Places to Live in America,"" and Sports Illustrated recently named Eden Prairie High School as having the ninth best high school athletic program in the nation.
