Position Description:
Warner Bros. Technical Operations Inc. seeks a Representative, Domestic Syndication for the Tech Ops Domestic TV Distribution department. Under general supervision, position schedules, confirms, and coordinates movement of series product between archives, labs and stations. Handles problems on scheduling of shipments, lost articles and replacement of damaged or defective products, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: # Maintains records of inventory and order product for stations to fulfill sales contracts.
# Works with executive staff from Domestic Sales regarding station starts and stops.
# Assist in the maintenance and up-keep of domestic TV distribution website and online tape ordering system.
# Assist in the implementation of new processes and technologies (Managed Linear Platform, Xytech, Satellite scheduler, Website and Email distribution).
# Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients with regards to content delivery.
# Responsible for purchase order creation and submission to vendor and knowledge of purchase order procedures/standards.
# Responsible for monitoring, reporting and replacing defective product.
# Works closely with show Producers on delivery of product. May have to work on location shoots of individual episodes.
# Responsible for the daily up-keep of email distribution list and stations profiles.
# Will work closely with master control to coordinate and schedule satellite feeds.
# Responsible for filling in for co-workers in their absence.
# Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* BA in related field, Film or Video, Broadcasting. Equivalent experience in a lab, TV station and such similar experience will also be valid in lieu of college degree.
* 1-3 years experience in the entertainment industry.
* Knowledge of computer systems helpful. Windows 2000/XP, Excel, Microsoft Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
* Broadcasting or Television Traffic experience or other related entertainment industry experience.
* General Office Activities – talking, sitting, walking, standing, bending, lifting, finger manipulation, etc. High stress environment. Decisions need to be made quickly.
