Position Description:
Greet and transport guests to and from the hotel, airport, train station, etc. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Duties:
§ Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
§ Assist guests in a professional manner.
§ Lift and move heavy items.
§ Transport guests to and from hotel, airport, train station, etc.
§ Deliver cribs, coffee, etc. to guest rooms as directed by front desk.
§ Clean inside and outside of vans daily.
§ Fill gas tanks, check oil and complete vehicle checklist.
§ Shovel walkways as needed.
§ Help maintain security of the property.
§ Assist Luggage Handlers, Housekeeping, and other departments as needed.
§ All other duties as assigned.
Will work at one of the following locations:
§ Bridgewater Hotel (Seasonal, mid May thru mid September)
§ Wedgewood Resort (Year Round and Seasonal Positions)*
§ Sophie Station Suites (Year Round Only)
*Note: Wedgewood does not have elevators (three floors of stairs!)
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
§ Previous van driving experience, knowledge of the Fairbanks area and a CDL are a plus
Hours:
Three 12-hour days--6:00 to 6:00 am or pm, and one 6 hour day/ week. (Bridgewater Hotel)
Five 8-hour shifts--AM Shift: 6am-2:30pm, PM Shift: 2pm-10:30pm (Wedgewood Resort & Sophie Station Suites)
Uniform:
Black pants/slacks. Employer provides polo shirts
