Position Description:
Job Responsibilities:
    • Manages all phases of process improvement projects with a focus on organizational learning and continuous improvement.

    • Analyzes ESPN's organizational development and training needs in the context of supporting the company’s business operations, corporate culture, and professional development

    • Conceives and recommends training and development strategies that meet ESPN's current and future learning needs

    • Prescribes training requirements and programs that are relevant to ESPN business operations, professional development and career ladders/promotion paths for both professionals and managers

    • Ensures that relevant professional skills and management development courses are available internally, and are customized consistent with ESPN's identified needs

    • Maintains relevant organization development services and team building processes, and facilitates internal or external OD interventions

    • Recommends ESPN training requirements, strategies, and programs for professional skills, management and career development categories

    • Delivers and facilitates original or licensed content

    • Recommends the creation of or changes to policies and practices related to professional development and performance management

    • Identifies and analyses trends and recommends approaches for resolution

    • Analyzes individual manager development needs and progress

    • Accountable for the cost management of deliverables as directed

Interacts regularly with ESPN professionals, managers, and executives in training and organizational and professional development sessions May be assigned to represent, or "champion," one or more operational units, process improvement projects or a unique segment of the learning curriculum Serves as internal professional development consultant to one or more business units Participates in Disney enterprise wide learning and development best practice sessions and development sessions

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required

    • 7-10 years progressive experience, with at least three years in people management

    • Fully competent subject-matter expert in Training / OD related field

    • Experience managing and facilitating process improvement projects

    • Current knowledge of training and organizational development best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advance degree preferred

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

    • In depth knowledge of process improvement, training needs identification, training programs and course content design and delivery

    • In depth knowledge of developing career ladders in a matrix environment and integrating global training needs in a US based culture
