Position Description:
The Cashier is responsible for the accurate receipt of payment for our products. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, well organized and well stocked food court. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting customers with purchases, accepting payment, making change, accurately handling large amounts of cash, interacting with guests and resolving guest issues, lobby and restroom cleaning (vacuuming, mopping and sweeping), and snow removal. All employees are charged with the responsibility to follow all rules and policies of the facility they are employed and Vail Resorts Inc. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: 5 days/week, Daytime shifts

We currently have Full-time and Part-time positions available.

Qualifications:

    * Must be 18 years of age or older
    * High school diploma or equivalent required
    * Must be able to read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English conversationally
    * Must be committed to providing excellent guest service
    * Must have at least 2 years of previous work experience in any field
    * Minimum 6 months previous experience with cash handling
    * Positive work ethic
    * Team-oriented attitude
    * Previous Food & Beverage experience in a fast paced environment preferred
    * Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours in a shift
    * Must be able to lift, bend, and carry items with a combined weight of 30 lbs
    * Must be able to move snow, ski racks and picnic tables with a weight up to 50 lbs
    * Flexible to assist in all areas of restaurant as required
    * Must be able to learn and practice all rules and regulations of Safety and Sanitation
    * Early mornings, weekends, holidays and/or evenings may be required
    * Certified non-slip shoes required to begin work
    * Candidate will need to pass the TIPS Certified Program
    * End of Season Commitment Required (April 14, 2010)
