Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older to instruct independently

* High School diploma or equivalent - preferred

* PSIA/AASI certification (level 1, 2 or 3) - preferred, but not required

* Must have an advanced/intermediate skiing or riding ability; Must be able to ski parallel turns with speed control on groomed black terrain

* Must be able to submit 2 letters of recommendation, a resume and a copy of all current certifications to bcschoolapplicant@vailresorts.com (if applicable)

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in written format

* Ability to communicate bilingually in Spanish and English - preferred

* Must be comfortable working outside in adverse weather conditions

* Must be comfortable working with a variety of ages including families and young children

* 2 years previous experience working with pre-school aged children preferred

* Background in teaching children preferred

* Must be able to lift 30-50lbs frequently throughout the day

* Must be able to work the entire season December 1, 2009 - April 11, 2010

* Must be able to work during peak holiday periods which are specified in the Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School Resource & Guidelines Manual (roughly December 27-31, February 12-17, and March 14-26)

* Must be able to attend training

* Must have own equipment

* Weekends and Holidays will be required

* Position is dependent on passing a background check
