Position Description:
Hiring experienced and non-experienced Children's Ski Instructors. The Instructor will provide quality ski instruction and guest relations in a safe and professional manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; understanding and abiding by the rules and procedures set forth in the policies & procedure manual, promoting an overall positive resort experience, and providing quality snowboard lessons according to contemporary standards established by the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School to groups and individual children. Instructors are responsible for on-snow skiing lessons, indoor activities, equipment familiarization, and skier safety. Instructors will arrive to work on time, meeting grooming standards set forth in policy & procedures manual, and prepared for all duties within job description and service guidelines. Must be able to work cooperatively with staff, management and other departments to ensure the safety, security and enjoyment of our guests. Must be able to make sound decisions based on weather conditions, terrain and temperatures. Instructors need to be able to interact well with groups of children ages 3-13 years old, and to clearly communicate the child's performance with parents and/or relatives.

Qualifications:

Must have the following:

    * Excellent communication skills
    * Must be available to work at least 21 days, including weekends and holidays
    * Advanced Intermediate or above skiing ability
    * High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred
    * PSIA/AASI certification - Preferred
    * Command of the English language (verbal & written) and ability to communicate effectively with guests.
    * Must provide a resume and 2 letters of recommendation which can be uploaded onto the application.
    * 2 years experience working with children - Preferred
    * Teaching and/or coaching experience - Preferred * Must be 18 years old or older
    * Successful completion of all instructor training
    * Must be comfortable working outside in adverse weather conditions
    * Must own skiing equipment
    * Position is dependent on passing a background check
