Position Description:
The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) seeks a full-time Teen Program Coordinator. The Teen Program of the JCCSF serves teens in grades 6-12 with a variety of social, educational, Jewish and leadership programs. The Teen Program Coordinator works to serve the needs of middle school and high school teens, including after-school, evening, weekend, holiday, and vacation and summer programs. Under the supervision of the Teen Program Manager, the Teen Program Coordinator provides leadership, support, and training for youth to develop and implement programs for themselves and for other teens. The Teen Program Coordinator is also responsible for all aspects of administering programs for teens, including outreach, marketing, and tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Work with Teen Program Manager to develop and oversee Teen Programs, activities, and events, including but not limited to:
      > Chill Hours programming, including supervision and support of contract program providers.
      > Other Club 18 programs, including the coordination of all logistics of dances, including staffing, DJ recruitment, and setup/breakdown.
      > GenSF programs, including GenSF Arts workshops and summer Junior Counselor and Counselor-in-Training program.
      > Social and service-oriented JCC Maccabi Experience events.
    - Develop and implement holiday, cultural and social events for teens.
    - Outreach and collaboration with JCCSF staff, program participants and volunteers from other youth serving agencies.
    - Responsible for hiring, training and communicating with teen program chaperones.
    - Maintain CSI management systems for room scheduling and membership tracking.
    - Work with the Teen Program Manager, participants, other JCCSF staff, and adult volunteers to evaluate programs.
    - Coordinate communications for Club 18 including phone, online, printed materials, and other marketing collateral. Create strategies and design for internal marketing and outreach within the Club 18 space.
    - Oversee and coordinate Club 18 private rentals.
    - Work with Teen Program Manager to coordinate staffing schedules for Club 18 programming.
    - Other responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

    - Previous experience working with Jewish youth, preferably in a JCC setting.
    - BA/BS degree.
    - Strong background in Jewish programming or Jewish education.
    - Strong leadership skills with teens. Ability to be a role model through excellent rapport, patience and sense of humor.
    - Experience in curriculum and program development.
    - Ability to transmit Jewish culture and ideas to youth with diverse Jewish backgrounds.
    - Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a broad spectrum of staff, volunteers, and program participants.
    - Ability to work weekends.
    - Strong oral and written communication skills.
    - Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
    - Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon employment) preferred.

This is a full-time position with generous benefits. Evening and weekend hours are required.
