Position Description:
Conestoga Christian School understands our responsibility to educate children and teens and to provide a godly influence for them to follow Jesus Christ and embrace a biblical worldview. The Administrator position provides a platform of significant influence, guidance and direction toward these goals. As such our expectations are high. Our selection process is designed to find an accomplished Christian leader skilled in providing vision and direction.

The school Administrator is the chief executive of the school and, in partnership with the Board of Trustees, is responsible for the success of the school. The Administrator provides spiritual, educational, and administrative leadership to the School. It is this person's responsibility to inspire, lead, and direct all phases of the school's operations, curriculum, programs, budget, personnel, and environment in accordance with direction and policies established by the Board of Trustees. The Administrator is supported by and works closely with an Administrative Team, which includes the Business Manager, Director of Development, Director of Assessment and Reporting, Elementary Supervisor, Middle School Supervisor, and High School Supervisor.

Qualifications: Spiritual and Personal Qualities

    * Demonstrate an identifiable salvation experience and a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by prayer, Bible study, and regular attendance at a local church.
    * Believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God our standard for faith and practice. Fully embrace the Conestoga Christian School Statement of Faith.
    * Believe that God has called her or him to a ministry of Christian school administration.
    * Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. Reflect the lifestyle statements as articulated in the Conestoga Christian School Employment Contract.

Required Professional Qualities:

    * Hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited post secondary institution.
    * Have a minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience, and five years of successful administration experience.
    * Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, having a basic proficiency in doing word processing, creating and using a spreadsheet, e-mailing, and accessing the Internet.
    * Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school board.
    * Demonstrate executive, management, and communication skills.
    * Experience in a Christian school setting is a plus but not a requirement.
