Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Preparation of detailed civil, electrical, and/or structural designs for rooftop systems and free standing ground-mounted solar arrays
• Site layout, planning and design
• Communicating with salespeople and other project participants
• Coordination with Sales Leads, Project Managers, Account Managers, and engineers
• Managing engineering consultants for calculations, drawing packages, professional stamps
• Designing components to address site-specific requirements
• Create and maintain AutoCAD drawing packages
• Create Bills of Materials for projects
• Assist Sales with design related questions
• Perform detailed civil, electrical, and/or structural site audits of rooftops, interior equipment rooms, and outdoor areas
• Document existing site conditions using GPS survey equipment and AutoCAD software
• Identify potential project cost and schedule impacts due to existing site conditions
• Site audit, including frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel
• Oversight and training of junior CAD Drafters, Designers, and Site Surveyors

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering, or equivalent experience in Structural or Architectural Design and/or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience drafting with AutoCAD

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be highly organized and capable of working on multiple projects
• Knowledge of electrical design, materials and methods of installation is a plus
• Strong design and engineering skills
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Good communication skills
