* The test function will work in conjunction with product development team to define the validation testing plan. Validation testing is done independent of the design team to ensure compliance to the product requirements.
* Additional responsibilities may include testing and planning support for supplier qualification and production testing as appropriate.
* Develop test methods and test plans to evaluate the product against the performance and durability requirements.
* Design, build, and modify test equipment as needed to achieve the test plans.
* Guide/direct test technicians as needed to execute test plans.
* Analyze test results, prepare reports and make recommendations.
* This position will require strong organizational skills, strong writing skills and the ability to present test reports

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Required:

* Familiarity with LabView & MS software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Effective written & verbal communication skills.
* Good record keeping skills.
* Must have initiative. Willing to work independently.
* Self-directed, highly motivated, and enthusiasm for renewable technologies.
* Must possess a strong desire to learn.
* Must be familiar with the design process and design validation.
* U.S. citizenship or ability to work in the United States

Education/Experience:

Required

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Quality Engineering preferred.
* Minimum of 5-6 years of experience
* Career includes experience with writing and executing test plans, and writing test reports.
* Career includes experience testing mechanical hardware, electrical hardware, firmware, and software.

Desired

* Should have good working experience in some of the following areas:
o Reliability testing & methodologies
o Statistics
o Quality Assurance methods
* Career includes management of test programs and resources
* Career includes field test experience preferably in a commercial product development environment
* Proven ability to perform in high-growth environments
